CNN.com Desktop Alerter 1.0.0.1is a desktop tool to keep you updated with the latest CNN news.
This utility will stay quietly on your tray bar, and will pop-up when a breaking new occurs, showing you a brief text and a link for further reading.
In order to install CNN.com Desktop Alerter 1.0 you will need to have Windows 2000 or XP installed on a computer equipped with a Pentium-class 400 MHz minimum processor, with 256MB of RAM, 7MB hard-disk space and Internet access.
Right clicking on the system tray icon you will have access to the Options, where you can configure the alerter.
You will be able to choose if you want to show Breaking News Stories (text only), Breaking News Video or both. You can also set the Default Snooze time (30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours), choose or not to have an Audio notification when alert arrives and set CNN.Com Desktop Alerter to run automatically when Windows starts.
You can´t configure the type of news you´re interested in, you will receive alerts for those news considered "Breaking News" by CNN. |
